It definitely holds some of the most fun times. We've been extremely busy this last month or so. We left June 10th for Virginia to visit Chris. Well this I will never forget bc Rylee and I flew by ourselves. I was extremely nervous ahead of time worried about how well she'd do on the plane and how many meltdowns she'd have w in the hour of the flight. As usual I had nothing to worry about. She did great and slept the vast majority of both of the flights. </div><div align="center">When we arrived at the Norfolk airport Chris was there waiting on us. This was another of my worries. . .how she'd react to him. I kept talking to her on the airplane about going to see daddy so she'd wouldn't be too surprised. I think he was a tad worried as well. When we first saw him she kinda gave him a look like "I think I know you, but I'm not sure?" Then w in just a minute or two he picked her up out of her stroller and from that moment through the rest of our visit she was daddys girl!!!</div><div align="center">Well we immediately started our visit off w a little excitement. Turns out we had picked up the wrong carseat and had actually gotten back to the hotel w it before I got a phone call from the airline saying we had the wrong one!! I never really looked at the carseat to be honest. Chris picked up our luggage so I just kinda randomly pointed at a carseat and said that's the one. And then he was the one to buckle her into it and since this was a borrowed carseat he had no idea what it looked like to begin w. So we returned the carseat and everything worked out fine.</div><div align="center">We had a great time while we were there. We took Rylee to the zoo for the first time and it was blazing hot. She was an angel the entire time we were there. Once again I was amazed at how well she was while we there. She's so hot natured and you could see how red her little face was, but she never really fussed at all. I think it was bc her daddy had her most of the time. She loved to look at the animals and would point and get all excited and giggle.</div><div align="center">We had plans to swim in the hotel pool while we were there, but Rylee had other plans bc we took her down one time and she clung to us like we were going to toss her in at any minute. So instead we just spent quality time in the hotel and then of the evening we'd usually go out for dinner. We got to visit w the babysitter and her girls and we also got to visit the hospital where I used to work. Those are the only 2 things I miss about Virginia. I loved my job and I loved our babysitter.</div><div align="center">Chris took us back to the airport on the 15th. Thankfully he wasn't able to stay long bc he had to be at work. It was almost easier that way to just say our goodbyes and get it over with. Taking him to the airport the first time was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do and then leaving him again this time definitely comes in a close 2nd. The first time we left Rylee didn't really react to him leaving. This time though was a different story. One that I don't want to go into bc it makes me sad.</div><div align="center">Things have been even busier since we've been back. We just celebrated the 4th of July a couple weeks ago. I took Rylee to the parade in Shoals. This was her first ever parade. I wasn't sure going into it if she would really enjoy it. She's awfully busy and doesn't like to sit still so i wasn't sure she'd sit through it. But once again she proved me wrong and did really well. We did not attend any fireworks just bc they were right about bedtime and I think she's still a little young to enjoy those.</div><div align="center">She's now not only walking but running around like a chicken w its head cut off!!! She just gets busier and busier!!! After we got back from visiting Chris I started working on her bedtime habits. Her routine got all out of whack when we moved into a new place w "new people" and w o daddy. She wasn't going to bed till midnight and then would wake 2 or 3 times in the night and when I would finally get her to go to bed I would have to stand in there patting on her till she fell asleep. Which sometimes was an hour long process. So once we got back I decided we needed to work on going to bed like a big girl bc one baby Loren gets here Mommy isn't going to have time to stand in there for an hour every night. It wasn't as bad as what I thought it would be and it definitely didn't take her long at all to going to bed like a big girl. I started by taking her in and turning her seahorse on and I would hold her a minute and then tell her mommy and daddy love her and it was time to go nite nite and I'd see her in the morning and then I'd lay her down and walk out. The first several nights she cried a little, but never more than 2 or 3 minutes. After the first week of this she was good to go and going to bed on her own! Now when I tell her its nite nite time she won't let me stand and hold her! As i'm giving her a kiss and telling her we love her she's already pulling away from me wanting to be laid down.</div><div align="center">Here are some pics from the last couple of months. . .
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495066017641128994" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJlbc7R5CI/AAAAAAAAAhk/2R9X910Q1G0/s400/DSCN0583.JPG" border="0" /></div> I took her to the Washington park the other day to feed the ducks and play on the playground.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495066004865953186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJlatVcLaI/AAAAAAAAAhc/Z5ZFb7xMcP0/s400/DSCN0581.JPG" border="0" />Ok so you know the saying. . . "What goes up must come down" well Rylee knows it too. She climbs up the slide and then slides back down.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495065996352533186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJlaNnrssI/AAAAAAAAAhU/jFiEDaNXyJI/s400/DSCN0580.JPG" border="0" />
<div align="center"> This look she was giving me wasn't real loving!
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495065990252253362" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJlZ25Q0LI/AAAAAAAAAhM/0d4EjvRwOPo/s400/DSCN0574.JPG" border="0" />Here is Rylee at the most miserable day of both our lives. . . the baby contest. I entered Rylee in the prettiest eyes and prettiest girl. She got 3rd in prettiest eyes. This contest was awful! It was outside and it was so hot! As you can tell by her face she was not happy and was ready to go. Furthermore it didn't start on time and it was incredibly unorganized! Her and I neither one were happy and we won't be doing it next year.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495064682509857698" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJkNvLLc6I/AAAAAAAAAhE/9cwRCLXBstM/s400/DSCN0568.JPG" border="0" /></div><div align="center"> Here she is patiently waiting on the parade to start

This was one of those weeks where we had like 3 days of absolute beautiful weather. She loves to just take off running once we're out there. She never wants to come inside.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495064657579074802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJkMSTN5PI/AAAAAAAAAg0/k5AAMMkwCE8/s400/DSCN0563.JPG" border="0" />See that happy look on her face? She loves to be outside!
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495064651789392306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJkL8u2WbI/AAAAAAAAAgs/dbR1utGmpqM/s400/DSCN0558.JPG" border="0" />This was her right after we left the zoo. We weren't even out of the parking lot yet.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495064640035661618" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJkLQ8ipzI/AAAAAAAAAgk/VuZEd_rTXAE/s400/DSCN0555.JPG" border="0" /></div><div align="center"> See how engrossed she is? I couldn't get any good pictures bc she was too busy looking at the animals to look at the camera.
</div><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495062754568323314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJidhCGQPI/AAAAAAAAAgc/InA6InznW08/s400/DSCN0550.JPG" border="0" />She was telling daddy all about whatever animal she saw!
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495062743396825154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJic3amuEI/AAAAAAAAAgU/Gk_B300nS8Y/s400/DSCN0546.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495062735592766706" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJicaV-PPI/AAAAAAAAAgM/QhuQtP6oLWQ/s400/DSCN0543.JPG" border="0" />You can already see how hot she was and we had just gotten there.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495062727646896754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJib8vh4nI/AAAAAAAAAgE/JVrHwM9-79Q/s400/DSCN0542.JPG" border="0" />"Daddy come out!!!" Chris had gone into the bathroom w o her. She let him know she was waiting by banging on the door.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495062716339816786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TEJibSntiVI/AAAAAAAAAf8/byxDDWVjgt4/s400/DSCN0541.JPG" border="0" />By this point she was done being patient. She either wanted him to come out or him to let her in.</p><p> </p><p align="center">Well just a short side note on baby Loren. Im just over 2 weeks away from delivering, but the dr. is doing an ultrasound this week to see how big she is. We don't want anymore 10lb surprises! I'm extremely miserable and very ready for this to be over w and her to be here. Im anxious to see how Rylee will act around her. Still no word on whether or not Chris will be here for the delivery, but he has turned in his leave request and they sent it back to him wanting him to list my dr. phone number and the hospital phone number. So I'm taking that as a good sign, but trying not to get hopeful. Very seldom does the Navy do anything that makes any sense!!!

It was super busy and still is!! Chris, Rylee, Rocky and I left Thursday April 29th to head this way, but Rylee was not enjoying the ride so after driving about halfway we decided to call it quits before we all pulled our hair out!!! We found a motel that allowed pets and we all shacked up for the night. Although i'm not real sure what was more stressful. . . the drive or the stay in the motel? We didn't pull in till around midnight and Rylee was wired!!! The room was really small so there was no where to really put her down so she ran up and down the bed for an hour till we forced her to lay down. Not long after i got her to sleep Rocky started in. . .he barked all night long. Since we are crammed in the same room every time he barked she woke up which in turn woke me up! It was a stressful drive home that's for sure. I am so glad we don't have to do it again for a very long time.</div><div align="center">Chris was able to stay home for a good week before he had to go. In fact he left on Mother's Day and let me tell you it was the worst Mother's Day I've ever had. Seeing him off at the airport was incredibly difficult! Once he got back to Virginia he only had a couple days and then his ship pulled out for a 3 week underway. And of course during this 3 weeks everything that could go wrong did. . . my video camera w memory card intact and Rylee's tv's were stolen out of my vehicle out of Dad's driveway. I was so sad. We just got the video camera for Christmas and just used it for the first time to record Rylee's bday party. I hadn't even seen the footage from her party before it was stolen.</div><div align="center">Her birthday party was great! She had a great time digging into her cake and all her presents. She was still pretty leary of "strangers" though so she didn't have much to do w anyone. Little did I know this stranger anxiety was just the beginning of what would turn out to be a very long month!</div><div align="center">No more than we saw Chris off at the airport did Rylee start to go downhill. She was terrifed of everyone but me and wouldn't leave my side even when we were home alone. I had trouble just tearing her away to go to the bathroom!! She wouldn't go to bed till midnight and then every 1-2 hours she would wake up screaming! She did this for almost a month! Let me tell you it was the longest month of my life! I think alot of things contributed to this phase. . . she watched her daddy leave and of course doesn't really understand any of that, i'm sure she could sense how upset I was, she was now seeing gobs of people that she didn't remember ever seeing in her life, not only were these people strangers, but she had to be overwhelmed by the number of people she was seeing w in one week! She had pretty well spent a year of her life in seclusion. She saw her mommy, daddy, doggy, and the babysitter and that was it. Now she was seeing all these new people plus she was living in a new house and forced to get used to "home" all over again.</div><div align="center">A month later and things are much better. She's not near as clingy w me and has really gotten used to our family and even strangers. She's much more outgoing. I've seen alot of changes in her over the last couple of weeks. She's sleeping through the night. . .even though she doesn't go to bed till 11pm most nights. But she's sleeping 10-12 hours so I can't complain too much. Bedtime is definitely a struggle although I don't think this has anything to do w her surroundings, but everything to do w a busy yet stubborn 1 yr old who can't stand the thought of missing out on something. Bedtime usually consists of me laying her down and trying to sing to her or pat her to sleep and her flip flopping all over the place to keep herself awake. This can last anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours! Naptime is the same way!</div><div align="center">She started walking a couple weeks ago and is having a blast discovering all there is to get into. She is really walking now! She loves to go for walks anywhere i will let her down. The other day we were in walmart w Nana and Pappy and she was barefoot but insisted up on walking through walmart!</div><div align="center">I definitely can't say that I miss Virginia. Although I do miss our babysitter and her family who were angels. And i know she was an angel bc before I found her I had been to numerous daycares and always left in tears thinking there was no way I was going to leave my kid w those people. I truly thought I was going to lose my job bc I had to take so much time off after our first sitter up and left us and then I wasn't even able to find a daycare. I just prayed and prayed and prayed some more until finally a friend I went to school w introduced us to her sitter/friend (Brandi). I knew almost immediately upon talking on the phone w her that I was going to like her. So we sat up some "get to know you" dates and took Rylee a few times before we left her for good. This ended up working out great. Brandi turned out to be a good friend and a good babysitter. I often asked her for advice when Rylee was sick or going through some phase. She is mom to 3 of the greatest little girls. Rylee became really attached to their whole family. It was very hard to leave them. I think of them constantly. Brandi was the first person to ever keep Rylee over night w o one of us being there if that tells you anything. </div><div align="center">Well I need to get off of here bc she's insisting I get off of here by throwing numerous fits!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478937130126912386" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/TAkYSovpq4I/AAAAAAAAAf0/08onhijqPJY/s400/100_1331.JPG" border="0" /></div><div align="center">"I'm a cool dude!"</div><div align="center">

Well yesterday they got to come home so Rylee and I went to watch the ship pulling in. It was an awesome experience! I've been on Chris's previous ship before, but had never seen it actually doing anything other than just sitting there. So this was definitely an experience to remember! Rylee of course had no idea what was going and could've cared less. She was more interested in the other people that were around. Especially the little kids. There were a few other wives/significant others there waiting/watching w their kids.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Rylee and I did a whole lot of nothing while he was gone. It was extremely lonely and boring being cooped up in this apartment. We had seen him a little over the last week or so, but it still felt like the longest 10 days of my life!!!! We tried taking walks whenever possible, but the weather has turned kinda chilly so that put an end to that. I'm already thinking ahead to the next one which is longer than the last one!!!! UGH!! I will be so glad to get home so we can keep ourselves busy. That's the worst thing about him being gone is he's my only adult contact! So when he's gone we literally have nothing to do and nowhere to go! That makes for an extremely long week!! Things could definitely be worse though. . . he's not in Iraq or Afghanistan and he doesn't have people shooting at him everyday. I think of those men and women and their families all the time!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">After we waited 3 1/2 hours for him to get off the ship we came home so he could clean up a bit and then headed to the Olive Garden. I really didn't want to spend his first evening home cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. And of course Rylee is the Olive Garden Queen! She loves pasta!!! Plus by the time he got off the ship Rylee hadn't eaten since lunch and I hadn't eaten since breakfast! And what little food was left in is we walked off by passing time waiting on him to get off the ship!!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Rylee loved the Olive Garden! She's been numerous times since she was born since this is Mommy's favorite place to eat, but this was the first time she was able to indulge in the yumminess!! There wasn't a thing she didn't like! She loved the breadsticks (especially dipped in Alfredo sauce) and I had ordered chicken alfredo so I was sharing that w her and she was shoveling it in by the handfulls!! Let's just say she left her mark on the Olive Garden bc by the time she was done she had created quite a mess on the floor!!!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Here are some pictures of Chris's ship pulling in. In some of them you can just barely make out the white stick figures around the top of the ship. These are some of the sailors in their white uniforms standing around the top manning the rails.</div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462180593429520834" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82QT1JmIcI/AAAAAAAAAd8/Q8a-AP_HH8A/s400/100_1286.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462180584386519986" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82QTTdk47I/AAAAAAAAAd0/2X-SE9Qt4AE/s400/100_1284.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462180578670382626" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82QS-KvjiI/AAAAAAAAAds/rX8AC06IIMs/s400/100_1289.JPG" />This picture was taken on the fishing pier after Chris's ship was pretty well out of sight. I just asked some random wives if they would take our picture. Rylee still wasn't awake yet. She hadn't had a nap so she fell asleep in the car for a few minutes. I had to wake her up to get her out to watch the ship pulling in.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462178441188858930" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82OWjbb3DI/AAAAAAAAAdk/vdhmlmWMShw/s400/100_1291.JPG" /></div><div align="center"> Ok now you can really see the sailors around the top. This picture was taken after we were back in the car and getting ready to leave. I didn't realize they were going to be pulling in so close to where we were until we were actually in the car getting ready to leave. So I snapped a few shots from inside the vehicle. Most of the time it's not ok to be taking pictures or videos for security reasons so that's why I didn't get out and take any better pictures.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Well now that Rylee is one she is really keeping us busy! She's not quite walking yet though she does take a random step or two here or there. She loves to walk if someone helps her. If I'm sitting down she'll come up to me and take my hand and start to walk away. She loves to hold my hands and walk through the house. She does really good walking this way. She's also so much more aware of everything around her. If i'm sitting at the computer she'll come up behind me and grab ahold of my clothes and turn me around so she has my attention.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">She's talking up a storm although you can basically only understand "Go, dog, and da da." She does have a couple new words. She says "duck" and just the other day finally started saying "momma." She still says da da more than anything, but is definitely saying momma more and more each day. She's started pointing at things and getting really excited. Like when Mickey Mouse comes on tv she'll point and smile real big and just get so excited. With all this new awareness comes the ability to throw tantrums! And let me tell you this little girl has that down pat!!
</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462178426419477410" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82OVsaI-6I/AAAAAAAAAdc/R6CXmdPYwus/s400/100_1254.JPG" /> <div align="center"> She loves to help mommy clean the kitchen. Although its usually when im loading, shes unloading. This was after her bath one night. She loves to run around naked!
</div><p align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462178418493443074" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82OVO4bTAI/AAAAAAAAAdU/zjMGUuq1-Qs/s400/100_1259.JPG" />This picture was so cute. She has such a sweet innocent look on her face.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462178405568904706" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82OUeu-fgI/AAAAAAAAAdM/gsxuqWD2SXI/s400/100_1261.JPG" />See that look on her face? She's already looking at me bc she knows I'm about to tell her no and to be nice to the doggy. That's the look I get every time she's about to do something she knows she's not supposed to be doing<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462178393997507554" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82OTzoI--I/AAAAAAAAAdE/80UHxZLdhFY/s400/100_1262.JPG" />Sometimes when I'm trying to take her picture I have to be very non chalant about it or she comes to investigate. Which is what she's doing in this picture. I was doing something and it caught her attention.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462175443461792130" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82LoEBm4YI/AAAAAAAAAc8/Hc4_8tn9GFM/s400/100_1267.JPG" />I had no idea she had that funny look on her face when I snapped the picture. It's like she's trying not to let Rocky know that she's up to something, but at the same time she's keeping a close eye on him.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462175420372846050" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82LmuAxheI/AAAAAAAAAcs/R035tM4o-DA/s400/100_1276.JPG" />See that awful look on her face? This is the I'm ticked off at you face and I really just want you to leave me alone!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462175407158006402" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82Ll8yHEoI/AAAAAAAAAck/1AWT1cx_NSE/s400/100_1279.JPG" />This was so hilarious. I had been loading the dishwasher w some assistance of course and I turned my back for a second to grab a sack (which you can see on top of the counter) that was on the kitchen table. When I turned back around she was sitting on top of the dishwasher w her Mickey Mouse plate and a fork in one hand and a spoon in the other! I laughed until I cried!!!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462175403715282914" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S82Llv9TR-I/AAAAAAAAAcc/wniXAgqKQ2c/s400/100_1280.JPG" />Just a quick note on this pregnancy. . . the one that I tend to forget about bc of how busy this little one keeps me!! I've been feeling great! Half the time I forget I'm even pregnant!! I'll be 24 weeks this Friday (4/24). I am starting to get to the point where I'm feeling a little more tired than normal, but it's not that bad.</p><p align="center">We'll be leaving for Indiana on Friday April 30th. So this will be my last blog for awhile till we get home and get settled. Chris will most likely be coming home w us for a week or two so I probably won't do much until after he's gone. So i guess this time I get to say. . . See ya all real soon!!!

Wow time flies!! We had a little birthday party for her Friday night because we're not sure if Chris will be here next week or not. We didn't invite very many people because she's so shy that she just clings to me when strangers are around. I had no desire to cart her around all night. Plus it's her birthday party so it's supposed to be fun for her. So we just invited the babysitter and her three little girls. I think they all had fun including Rylee. I had Wal-Mart make a Mickey Mouse cake for her which turned out to be adorable! And i bought some Mickey Mouse plates and a Mickey Mouse banner.</div><div align="center">Chris took the whole cake up to her at first. We just wanted to see what she would do given the chance. She didn't hesitate to dig both hands in! It was kind of a last minute party so I didn't have time to make her her own separate cake that she could play in, so after we saw what she'd do with it we just gave her her own piece. She loved it! I think more of it ended up in her lap than in her mouth though.</div><div align="justify"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456246648081243026" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h7awHMW5I/AAAAAAAAAbs/ruSBML3hJgI/s400/100_1205.JPG" /></div><div align="center">We gave her the piece of cake on a plate and she dumped it upside down. Who needs to have manners when it's your birthday anyway!!! She's squishing the cake in between her hands.</div><div align="center"> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456246640943492258" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h7aVha7KI/AAAAAAAAAbk/F1Ez6YGqsaE/s400/100_1204.JPG" />Ok so I just realized my pictures are in the wrong order, so you'll just have to piece them together as you read.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456246634118310994" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h7Z8GK7FI/AAAAAAAAAbc/K0OGfYFpgvw/s400/100_1194.JPG" /></div><div align="center"> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456246624490781138" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h7ZYOyedI/AAAAAAAAAbU/NtHJ2LATu3c/s400/100_1190.JPG" />Chris and I got her this big bag of mega blocks for her bday present. The babysitter has these huge legos at her house that Rylee loves to play with so I knew she'd love these blocks.
<div align="center"> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456246615907416738" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h7Y4QWuqI/AAAAAAAAAbM/kyXMoBWClHY/s400/100_1189.JPG" />This is one of the toys that the babysitter and her girls got for Rylee. She loves this toy. It's one of those where you press the buttons and the animals pop up. Rylee gets angry when she closes one and another one pops up.</div>
<div align="center">Overall the night was a success. Rylee had lots of fun. Eventually she started to wear down and was extremely grouchy so everyone took that as their cue to head out. She was so tired she went to sleep at 8:30 and slept 12 hours without making a peep all night!
</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456248977876641586" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h9iXRs5zI/AAAAAAAAAcM/E97WGuQjkuk/s400/100_1164.JPG" />Yummy. . . Ravioli and Peas
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456248985377355474" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h9izOAttI/AAAAAAAAAcU/JGc6DfDIT1E/s400/100_1183.JPG" />She had been eating hamburger helper in this picture, but then she spotted Mickey.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456248969192613666" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h9h27RJyI/AAAAAAAAAcE/SzMIIL-gx_w/s400/100_1163.JPG" />I was sitting on the floor trying to take her picture, but she wouldn't stay far enough away. She had to climb on me as I was trying to take her picture. So we got an extra close close up!
<div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456248959557290066" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h9hTCByFI/AAAAAAAAAb8/zmuFlrfRkjw/s400/100_1160.JPG" />She got ahold of my cell phone. It was so funny because she started talking to it. Eventually by the time she was done it wouldn't work anymore. I guess it's not slobber proof!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456248952522528690" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S7h9g40z17I/AAAAAAAAAb0/XvTxY9wWfzk/s400/100_1157.JPG" />
Here's what's been happening since I last updated. . . Rylee is eating all table food and not really any baby food. She pretty well eats anything you put in front of her. I haven't found much of anything she won't eat. Her favorite food seems to be peas and yogurt. </div><div>It started out that she was just dabbling in whatever I would eat. Chris and I always ate in the living room and she would stand in front of me and fuss till i gave her some of whatever i had. After about a week of this I decided to transition dinner to the kitchen so she could sit in her highchair and feed herself. She started off with fettuccine and hamburger helper then little by little she just ate whatever we were eating for dinner.</div><div>She is still taking a bottle, but we've transitioned down to just the bed time bottle. I haven't tried real hard to wean off that one because we can't get her to drink any milk unless it's mixed w formula. When she drinks out of her sippy cup it's usually always water. She loves water!</div><div>She's not quite walking yet, but she just started taking some steps the other day. If we sit on the floor with her and let her walk between us then she'll take a few steps in our direction, but like everything else she dictates how long she'll do this. Once she's had enough she'll hold her legs up in the air if you're trying to stand her up or she just won't stand up at all. She does stand up on her own for a few seconds. She's getting braver though. She'll have a hold of the couch and will turn around and let go like she's going to take off walking then she chickens out and grabs back ahold of the couch.</div><div>Her personality is definitely coming through and is more noticeable. She has no problem letting you know when she's not happy about something. She throws little temper tantrums already. I have a feeling these are just a preview for what's to come later!! She'll kick her legs and arms if you try to take something away or are trying to get her dressed. She's just recently started saying NO too. She'll even point her finger at you like you do when you're giving someone a talking to. It's so funny because if you do it to her then she'll start mocking you, but she doesn't point back at me. She turns and points at Chris.</div><div>Well Friday was my last day at work! YAY!!! I'm so excited to be able to stay home with Rylee all the time! We still don't know exactly when we're moving yet, but it'll be sometime around the end of the month. We've already started packing some things. We're trying to get as much packed as possible while Chris is still here to help.</div><div>Well I'm going to get off here for now. Hopefully I'll be able to update more frequently now that I'm not working.

Since my last blog Rylee has started pulling up and has moved on to cruising around the furniture or anything else she can manage to hang on to. She's working on standing on her own now. I watched her stand up in the middle of the floor the other night. Although almost as soon as she got up she was right back down!</div><div align="center">Her personality is really starting to come through. She has no problem voicing her opinion. She has even started to smack when you're making her do something she doesn't want to do! Really the only things she doesn't want to do is get her diaper or her clothes changed. I guess she feels like we're slowing her down or something. But yesterday morning I had her on the changing table trying to get us both ready to head out the door when she gave me that "im ticked off look" and actually swatted at me! </div><div align="center">I've been telling the sitter about her little temper, but I don't think she believed me. That is until yesterday. . . when I went to pick her up at the end of the day the sitter was telling me how she had her in the highchair trying to feed her when a commercial came on that I guess Rylee wanted to see bc she pushed the sitter's hand out of the way so she could see around her to the TV!</div><div align="center">Well standing and cruising are not the only new things Rylee is trying. . . yesterday she had her first drink of cow's milk. I had the sitter give her some and she said she thinks she liked it, but she didn't like it cold so she had to warm it up a bit. She's also eating alot more table food. She's had green beans, little pieces of chicken, bananas, and mac and cheese (which she doesn't really like). I'm sure she's had more than that, but that's all i can remember right now.
</div>
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442899949870515554" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S4kQqqwGBWI/AAAAAAAAAa8/VVPbcTz6hO0/s400/100_1106.JPG" />She is laying on the pillow in her jammies sucking her thumb! Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent?? Hahahaha. . . if you said yes then she has you fooled!!!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442899933899268514" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S4kQpvQQIaI/AAAAAAAAAa0/lSDj3esXpIk/s400/100_1104.JPG" />Oh my gosh this little girl is so smart! Much smarter than her dad and I ever gave her credit for. When Rocky has to go to his crate we've had to start actually shutting the door and locking it to keep Rylee out of there. Well the other night she figured out how to unlock the door and open the gate to let him out.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442899920714781506" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S4kQo-I000I/AAAAAAAAAas/siC_5BPtAf0/s400/100_1098.JPG" />Rylee sticks her tongue out when she's concentrating really hard on something. Here she was trying to figure out how to get the lid off these cd's.
<div align="center">Well, baby and I are doing well. Even better now that I found out I don't have diabetes. It was a stressful couple of weeks worrying about all of that, but for now I'm in the clear. I'm 16wks as of yesterday and haven't felt the baby move yet, but assume in the next couple of weeks I probably will. I've been feeling pretty good now that I'm into my second trimester. Tired as always, but good none the less. </div><div align="center">Everybody's asking when do we find out what we're having. . . well the answer is only a week away. My ultrasound is scheduled for March 8th.</div><div align="center">Well, gotta go for now. Rylee is starting to fuss. I think she's ready for breakfast. Better go so I can feed the monster!

I think the last post was before Christmas. That's just how busy we've been since getting home from Christmas. Rylee started crawling the night before we left to come home for Christmas and life hasn't been the same since then. . . hahahaha!!! She is so busy and so mischevious! Speaking of mischevious she is right below my feet playing w the printer as I'm trying to type! I keep having to stop and move her out of there bc she opens and closes the top of the printer (the scanner part) and bangs on the scanner w her hands!!! If this printer manages to make it through all this w her then I will recommend this printer to anyone bc it can w/stand anything!!
Well, I'm officially 11wks1day and am feeling okay. I don't feel great, but it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was when I was pregnant w Rylee. I have my good days and my bad days. It's weird how different things are w this pregnancy. I'm not taking pictures of my stomach every week. Mainly bc no one wants to see this stretch marked, flabby stomach this time!!!My cute, tan, little belly is long gone!! Thankfully Rylee is sleeping really good so that helps alot. She's going to bed around 8:30 and sleeping till 7am.
Chris and I still haven't decided when Rylee and I are moving home. It seems like we change our minds on a daily basis. His deployment keeps changing. They move it back then they move it back up again. I really want to have the baby in Indiana, but that means leaving Chris alot sooner than I would like. I'm not really worried about me leaving him, I'm more worried about taking Rylee away from him. Eventually we have to make a decision bc our lease is up in April and we have to give 60 days notice if we're moving out. So stay tuned. . .
Rylee hasn't pulled up yet, but she tries really hard. If you stand her up against something she'll stand for several minutes. She stands herself up in the middle of the floor but she keeps her hands on the ground and just sticks her butt up in the air.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430047914017996546" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S1tnzuRkvwI/AAAAAAAAAZk/ey3F_aD8PKQ/s400/100_1086.JPG" />
Oh my gosh this has to be the funniest thing ever. . . her in the dog cage!! And the funniest thing is she loves it!!! She thinks its hilarious to get in there. And she could care less wether the dog is in there or not! If he's in there she'll just join him. Rocky on the other hand is not so happy when she decides to join him.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430047907201921410" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S1tnzU4fsYI/AAAAAAAAAZc/RJkzmmDzthg/s400/100_1085.JPG" />Yes, she still loves Mickey Mouse! Now when I turn it on she stops everything she's doing and crawls to the tv to sit and watch him. She giggles and squeals as she's watching it.
<div><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430047899865769010" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S1tny5ja5DI/AAAAAAAAAZU/3dLvxoeOu7k/s400/100_1083.JPG" />This cracked me up. . . she wanted to get to one of her other toys and instead of crawling around this toy she just climbed over it. Or at least she tried. She eventually got over it but it took her awhile.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430047889923135378" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S1tnyUg6V5I/AAAAAAAAAZM/aJnC1__aLxc/s400/100_1072.JPG" />I don't remember what she was doing exactly in this picture, but she had that cheesy smile that says "I'm a perfect angel and would never do anything I'm not suppose to." And of course she was covered in food!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430047880269201346" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S1tnxwjO_8I/AAAAAAAAAZE/6cdrq56a_mU/s400/100_1062.JPG" />This has to be her favorite spot and her mommy's least favorite! She gets back there and plays in the blinds. These blinds are so fragile! It doesn't take much to knock them down and once they're down you can't hang them back up they're just done! And of course we have to pay every time we have to replace them. No matter what I do she won't stay out of there! And when you catch her back there she just smiles at you like "What? Me?"
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430045513110403506" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/S1tln-MmObI/AAAAAAAAAY8/nMJ1gksQLtc/s400/100_1055.JPG" />Well, I think Rylee has decided my time is up. She's tugging at my pant leg and crying so I guess I'm done w this post for now! Enjoy the rest of the pics and hopefully I'll have more to post fairly soon.

We're both really excited. I have to admit though I'm a little scared. I mean 2 kids both in diapers! A newborn and a 16 month old! Whew. . . it makes my stomach do flip flops just thinking about it! And of course the biggest scare comes w the fact that Chris won't be here for long after the baby is born since he will be deploying soon after.
Ok now that we got that out of the way. . . Rylee is 8 months old now and is so much fun! She has developed quite a personality. She knows just how to get our attention when she wants it! She's also into everything all the time. . . the dog's food and water, the Christmas presents, the Christmas tree, and just about anything else you can think of that you wouldn't want her to get into. She recently just started waving bye and waves whether you're coming or going or not!
Here she is pulling on the Christmas tree
</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415623577669539778" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sygo82A5F8I/AAAAAAAAAX0/rRMBnjhsBa0/s400/100_1040.JPG" /> <p align="center">
She crawls under the tree and pats on the presents. Almost like she's trying to figure out what's in them. She just discovered the shiney bows tonight! She's only getting three presents from mommy and daddy bc the other 2 gifts we ordered online we're cancelled "due to their popularity" They actually ran out of my order 2 weeks after I ordered! I was so frustrated!
</p><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415622571240048450" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SygoCQxZx0I/AAAAAAAAAXs/UjAV65EWKJI/s400/100_1028.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415622559094337714" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SygoBjho8LI/AAAAAAAAAXk/iteXbqHJKkU/s400/100_1035.JPG" />
Poor Rocky! He actually whines when she gets near him! She's definitely not scared of him! I'd say its the other way around. . . he's scared of her!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415622553507968370" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SygoBOtvtXI/AAAAAAAAAXc/4zIHYXqQjhs/s400/100_0987.JPG" />
<div align="center">We recently got our family Christmas pictures taken at Penney's. They did a great job! They turned out really well!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 316px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415622542283048370" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SygoAk5hBbI/AAAAAAAAAXU/F_UzqpPProg/s400/scan0012.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 285px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415622537645606066" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SygoATn3RLI/AAAAAAAAAXM/NJ8fsuNgvQc/s400/scan0006.jpg" /> We actually get to spend Christmas at home this year! First time in 2 years for me and the first time in 4 years for Chris. I'm so excited to actually be able to join in all the family get togethers again! That's one of the things I miss most is just getting together for all those special family gatherings. We leave Friday morning or Friday afternoon. Not sure which yet. Never know till the last minute w the military! So this will probably be my last blog before Christmas so Merry Christmas to everyone! Cya next year!

But before anything else I just want to say Happy Birthday to Chris. He turned 25 on November 17th.
Here's a picture of him and Rylee w his birthday cake. And yes that is icing you see on the carpet!! She moves fast and got into the cake before we could catch her.
</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409263696738554242" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGQrDSEkYI/AAAAAAAAAXE/Rd4m2HsnxFw/s400/100_0969.JPG" /> <p align="right">Rylee is almost 8mo now and is as busy as she's ever been!!! She keeps her daddy and I hoppin. She's not quite crawling yet. Although she gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. She just hasn't quite figured out what to do from there. But don't let that fool you. . . she has no problem figuring out how to get where she wants to go. Which is usually where she's not supposed to go!! I'll be doing something in the kitchen and have her sitting right outside the kitchen on the carpet. I'll turn around every couple of seconds (bc that's how long it takes for her to get into trouble) and one second she's there and the next she's gone!!! When I walk out of the kitchen she's halfway down the hallway!!!
</p><p align="right">I recently started giving Rylee her bath in the big bathtub. Until this past week she's always taken it in the kitchen sink, but even w me standing right over top of her she still manages to create chaos! If there is anything on the counter like clean dishes or dirty dishes for that matter or her towel and rag it's guaranteed to end up in the sink w her! The final straw for me was when she realized how much fun it was to flop onto her belly while in the sink. She wouldn't stay sitting up no matter what. I kept sitting her back up and she'd work herself right back onto her belly. I was terrified she was going to crack her head open so I decided it was time to graduate to the big tub. Now she loves it. She has more room to slide around and make lots of waves w her legs.</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409263694010979346" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGQq5HxFBI/AAAAAAAAAW8/BbGwAHX7akE/s400/100_1003.JPG" /> <p align="right">Poor Rocky. . . he's so mistreated! She just loves him, but unfortunately the feelings not mutual. As soon as she gets close he takes off. It's not going to be much longer though and she'll pretty well be able to go everywhere he can. When we get in the door of the evening after I've picked her up from the sitters she just immediately starts talking to him. I have no idea what she's saying, but it's very obvious that she loves her puppy.
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409262722502458098" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGPyV-FevI/AAAAAAAAAW0/EfNpEtV0_KA/s400/100_0987.JPG" /> <p align="right">You have to watch this little girl like a hawk. She'll sneak right up on you w/o you ever knowing! Which is exactly what happened the other night w Chris. He was on the phone w his mom telling her what he wanted for Christmas and didn't even realize he had company. It was so cute. I just sat back and watched it unfold. She worked her way across the room. . . rolling and scooting until she was close she could wedge herself between the computer and the loveseat. Then she just kept looking up at Chris like she was trying to get his attention.
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409262712887484498" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGPxyJsoFI/AAAAAAAAAWs/4Ka8WaR-wsk/s400/100_0995.JPG" /> <p align="right">And of course what all little kids love to get into. . . the dog's food and water! It didn't take her long to work her way over to Rocky's food and water dish. The first time she did was so funny bc it was like Rocky realized what she was thinking. He took off real fast and lapped up all of his water before she could tump it over. We have had to start telling her no when she starts to get into stuff. Although it doesn't work to well bc we usually can't stop from laughing as we're telling her no. She just gives the funniest look when you tell her no. It stops her momentarily and then she turns around and gives you this look like "Me? Sweet, Innocent, Little Me??" and then turns right back around and continues what she was doing.
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409258825379366402" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGMPgDiRgI/AAAAAAAAAWk/2X4KT2WSJZQ/s400/100_0980.JPG" /> <p align="right">Her other new thing to do is roll her way over to the sliding glass doors and pat on them or just look out the door. I thought you didn't have to worry about hand prints being smeared on the windows till they were walking??? I'm not sure if she was expecting someone this night or what exactly she was looking at?
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409258822859570578" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGMPWqxPZI/AAAAAAAAAWc/Bbo_VuXy7VY/s400/100_0975.JPG" /> <p align="right">We bought this toy when she was just a few months old. It lights up and plays music so we thought she'd love it. It's one of those toys that starts out being for when their babies and can lay on the ground and kick it then as they are able to sit up it switches again so they can sit in front of it and push the buttons and then as they are able to stand it switches to an upright position so they can stand and play. Well when we brought it home the first time she HATED it! It was incredibly loud and scared her so Chris put a piece of duck tape over the speaker so it wouldn't be so loud. She at least tolerated it then, but still wasn't crazy about it. So it has sat in our living room for months. But now that she's able to sit up she LOVES it. It can entertain her for quite some time. She presses the buttons and talks to it.
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409258817158764738" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGMPBbl2MI/AAAAAAAAAWU/D9b08vaGBWQ/s400/100_0979.JPG" /> <p align="right">Among the discoveries she's made would be my blinds! I used to have trouble w Rocky messing w my blinds and now it's Rylee who messes w the blinds.
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409258809482256802" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGMOk1XoaI/AAAAAAAAAWM/ikSVD_5-RG8/s400/100_0976.JPG" />She was concentrating so hard it looked more like work than play!
<div align="right"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409258805016759826" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGMOUMtjhI/AAAAAAAAAWE/5fe-Zoho4m4/s400/100_0962.JPG" />I took this picture during the Nor'Easter. It was almost like she was hiding from the storm under the bed. We were trying to stay out of the living room bc the wind was so strong that it was causing the sliding glass doors to buckle. And as you can tell from how dirty her clothes are we had no power and no hot water!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409257218584988626" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGKx-R5y9I/AAAAAAAAAV8/VN75HrfTU-I/s400/100_0961.JPG" />So a couple weeks ago I had a family visit I'll never forget. My grandma came down w my dad and stepmom for a short visit. This was huge! Grandma isn't much of a traveler. I think she's traveled to Cinicinnati Ohio which is a few hours away from where she lives. I'm pretty sure this was the longest trip she's ever made. And let me tell you she made the most of it. They stopped in Northern Virginia first to visit some family there and then after a couple of days made there way here to see us. It was so nice to have her here and really meant a lot to me that she made the trip. </div><div align="right"></div><div align="right">This was Rylee's second trip to the beach. We went to Virginia Beach bc Grandma had never seen the ocean.
</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409257213705543650" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGKxsGjX-I/AAAAAAAAAV0/YPr50igTUK8/s400/100_0953.JPG" />
We ate lunch at a really nice restaurant on the oceanfront called Waterman's.
<div align="right"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409257189934481458" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SxGKwTjFwDI/AAAAAAAAAVc/oR8okRp5PN0/s400/100_0943.JPG" />
In my last blog I was telling you about Rylee going to the babysitter for the first time. Well she's now been going there for a little over a month and loves it! I love it as well. I feel comfortable going to work and leaving her there. I also don't feel as guilty about having to leave her and go to work bc I know she's having fun and enjoys being there. The babysitters little girls love her and usually fight over her. In fact Wednesday when I picked her up they knew it was going to be her last day until Monday so they devised a plan to tell me that her dad had already been there to pick her up and that way they could just keep her all weekend! Their mom told them no bc it would make Rylee's mommy sad!

On the 19th Rylee went to the new babysitters for the first time. She did really good. I went early enough so that I didn't have to drop her off and just leave. I wanted to give her enough time to get adjusted. I managed to slip out pretty well unnoticed. She was busy playing with the babysitters little girls so she didn't really pay much mind to me leaving. The first couple of mornings she was a little hesitant, but never really shed any tears. She's now been going there for over a week and could care less whether I'm there or not. In fact the last couple of times I took her she was reaching out for the babysitter! I was even holding her a the time! Shows where I rank. . . .hahaha!! </div><div align="center">By that Wednesday, the 21st, Rylee was saying da-da and ba-ba. It was pretty random and when she first said it I wasn't sure I had heard right. It started out more ba-ba than da-da, but now she's a pro and says da-da non-stop. She falls asleep saying da-da and wakes up saying da-da if that tells you anything! </div><div align="center">Less than one week later Rylee came home from the sitters with a surprise. . . her first TOOTH!!! She had been working on that tooth for awhile. If you ran your finger over her gum you could feel two little ridges side by side. One of them finally managed to break through. That same night she decided to celebrate by rolling from her back to her belly for the first time!! It was a busy night!! Then just two short days later her second tooth popped through!!!</div><div align="center">Then on the 29th Chris went to the ship for the first time in 2 years. It's been really busy with him being on the ship again. He leaves around 5:30 every morning and doesn't get home till about 5:30 that evening. By the time I get off work and get Rylee from the sitters we're usually getting home around the same time. Then the fun begins of trying to get dinner started, Rylee fed, clean up after dinner, get Rylee's stuff ready for the sitters the next day, give Rylee a bath, then before we know it it's time for bed. The evenings are short and busy. Rylee goes to bed around 8 so we have literally 2 hours to get everything done.</div><div align="center">We thought once he got on the ship that some things would settle down and we would know more about the upcoming months and holidays. Unfortunately, that's not the way it worked out. We're just as lost and unsettled as we were before. There are lots of rumors flying about the holidays. Some are saying they may not even be here for Thanksgiving let alone get to take Christmas leave. So who knows when we'll make it home again.</div><p align="center">
</p><div align="center"></div><div align="center">Here are some pictures from the last week. . . </div><p align="center">
</p><div align="center">
</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399117746945872338" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2E_C83UdI/AAAAAAAAAVM/4gapU2od2O8/s400/100_0927.JPG" /> <p align="center">Once she started to roll over from her back to her belly she discovered this was the perfect mode of transportation. Here she is digging in her toybox. And P.S. we did not put her anywhere near that toybox when we sat her down. She rolled and scooted her way over there. Guess the toys I had out for her weren't good enough so she was going to solve that problem on her own. She must know the saying"If you want something done right you have to do it yourself!"
</p><p align="left"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399117738821452018" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2E-kr2gPI/AAAAAAAAAVE/09MqP6-wtao/s400/100_0924.JPG" /></p><div align="center">"Uh Oh I've been caught!"</div>
<div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399214469454672898" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su3c9CX-tAI/AAAAAAAAAVU/L7dJHKaFpAk/s400/100_0905.JPG" /></div><div align="center">We've had some really crazy weather these past couple of weeks. One day it's freezing cold and the next it's 80 degrees. This was one of those days so we decided to take advantage of it and go for a walk. Rylee loves to go on stroller rides.</div>
<div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399117733871523074" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2E-SPslQI/AAAAAAAAAU8/NMyzM7cfdDc/s400/100_0913.JPG" /></div><div align="center">Rylee and her best friend Mickey Mouse. And yes she is still obsessed with Mickey Mouse.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399117726880836050" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2E94M_KdI/AAAAAAAAAUs/ra9Xqco4wW4/s400/100_0882.JPG" />I have no idea what was so funny here. Obviously I wasn't in on the joke!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399112318306241666" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2ADDsUTII/AAAAAAAAAUk/G8J-d6Ls4DU/s400/100_0847.JPG" />She loves Mickey Mouse. . . need I say more. . .
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399112312443412338" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2ACt2gn3I/AAAAAAAAAUc/kEWvl4a3lu4/s400/100_0834.JPG" /></div><p align="center">I think she was so tired this night she was just delirious. She was laughing so hard at absolutely nothing</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399112308178061074" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2ACd9khxI/AAAAAAAAAUU/t9xOgNBMu8Y/s400/100_0831.JPG" /> <p align="center">Notice the remote scattered amongst her toys? This was an old remote that we took the batteries out of so she could play with it. She's always so interested in the real remotes that we thought this would keep her occupied and keep her from wanting the other remotes. And as you can imagine she could care less for the fake remote!
</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399112299621621042" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Su2AB-FjnTI/AAAAAAAAAUM/9I5khuENLL0/s400/100_0822.JPG" /> <p align="center">We always lay this sheet down and spread her toys out on it and sit her down on it. After a short time we'd start to notice that she was wrapping her self up in the sheet.

We found a new babysitter and we're anxious for her to get started. She has three sweet little girls who just can't wait to play w Rylee.
In the mean time Chris's family has been filling in as our sitter. Rylee's nana and mamaw came down last week and stayed w her while Chris and I worked. And of course spoiled her rotten every chance they had. Nana (Chris's mom) left Saturday am, but his grandma (mamaw) is staying w us through the rest of next week.
Rylee has had lots of company this week. Aunt Nin and Uncle Larry (Jenny and Larry-Chris's aunt and Uncle) we're vacationing in Myrtle Beach and decided to stop by for a short visit on their way back through. They got here Saturday afternoon and left this am.
So Rylee's newest thing is Mickey Mouse. This girl loves Mickey Mouse! We DVR Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for her that's how much she likes it! Everybody that comes over has to watch her reaction to Mickey Mouse on tv. When it comes on she just smiles and laughs and gets so excited. Well nana brought her a stuffed Mickey Mouse w a little mickey mouse blanket and this Mickey Mouse now goes everywhere she goes! She absolutely loves her Mickey Mouse!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391455968692100050" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJMo2wNW9I/AAAAAAAAARA/r3wJITwmmj4/s400/100_0797.JPG" /> This picture starts the process of working to get her sock off. You can see her working on it through the other pictures.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391455983489482546" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJMpt4LfzI/AAAAAAAAARI/qR1dFVCaR8g/s400/100_0798.JPG" />She decided to try a different position this time. I guess the other position wasn't all that great for trying to take your socks off?<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391455991451746978" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJMqLiiAqI/AAAAAAAAARQ/5nXC-X90zzo/s400/100_0799.JPG" /> Aha! Finally! She finally got that darn sock off! Even funnier is how she's acting now that its off. Her mamaw was sitting to her right. That's who she's looking at. It looks like she's taking that sock and dangling it in the air just to say "hahaha Mamaw look what I did!"
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391455962086925234" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJMoeJaY7I/AAAAAAAAAQ4/hVqldpc2Yn0/s400/100_0793.JPG" />Rylee had just woken up from a nap when Jenny & Larry got here so she's looking at Jenny like "who are you and why are you holding me?"
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391455947456958290" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJMnnpWz1I/AAAAAAAAAQw/-j2CZxNuRFs/s400/100_0792.JPG" /> Awe! Cuddling w Aunt Nin!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391453507415650210" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJKZlyLL6I/AAAAAAAAAQo/q7vbE775IuE/s400/100_0794.JPG" />This has to be the cutest picture ever! She loves to sit outside and while nana was here she would get up every morning and sit outside in her walker. So this morning her nana was gone so she went outside w her mamaw. But she was still in her pj's and it was pretty cool out so she had to have shoes, socks, a jacket, and a hat. Obviously as you can tell in the picture the only thing that matches is her pj's. I was in a hurry trying to gather all these things so she could go out. She was getting impatient w me. She saw her mamaw going out and didn't care how cold it was she was ready to go out right then and there so I just grabbed the first things I could get my hands on. Oh but when it was time to come in she had a little tantrum! She was not at all happy that I made her come in!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391453484637962690" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJKYQ7jQcI/AAAAAAAAAQY/4KsZ-C-jgjw/s400/100_0787.JPG" /> We got Rylee's pictures taken Saturday and I had her laying on the bed so I could get her ready. That bottle of lotion between her legs was making her so mad bc she kept trying to pick it up, but it was just a little too heavy. She looked so cute sitting here naked w her little headband on.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391453472021525970" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJKXh7jtdI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/qGFQYPoUIrg/s400/100_0782.JPG" />
Rylee couldn't decide which headband she wanted to wear to get her picture taken so she thought she'd taste test each one!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391453493724560050" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJKYyx9urI/AAAAAAAAAQg/-G-A-VvQOsg/s400/100_0788.JPG" />
I already know what you're thinking. . . it looks like she's talking to her diaper bag. Well, guess what. . . she is!!! But of course look who's right there w her. . . Mickey Mouse!! We were getting ready to go get her picture taken, but since her nana was on the road back to Indiana we had to take a picture of her all dressed up before we left. I almost think she was telling us to make sure and remember to pack Mickey Mouse.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391453466130187202" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/StJKXL-9A8I/AAAAAAAAAQI/R8jBWBkLVus/s400/100_0770.JPG" />This girl LOVES to eat!!! I'd say her two favorites things are Food and Mickey Mouse. I have to strip her down naked before she eats bc she makes such a mess. She can't keep her fingers out of her mouth. I almost have to fight her to keep her fingers out of her mouth. Which is how the food gets all over the place is bc she puts her fingers in her mouth before she swallows the food and sucks the food off her fingers. Then while i'm working on getting another bite ready she smears the food all over the place.

Let's just say it's been a rough week! So here's a recap of how everything went down. . .
<strong>Monday</strong>-Rylee has dr. appt. at 3pm for an ear infection (2nd one in 4weeks), babysitter texts and says she's sick, I stay home but Chris gets home around 10 to relieve me, we get to the dr. and end up waiting in a room to be seen for an hour and a half!!!!!! By then we had a very grouchy, very tired, very hungry little girl on our hands!!! Then to make matters worse the resident decides to dig wax out of her ear and makes us hold her down while she's screaming!!! Eventually I had had enough and told the resident that was enough. By this point Rylee was almost to the point of getting sick bc she'd been screaming so hard for so long! Mine and Chris's patience were already running a little thin considering we'd been there for an hour and a half already. So they give her a script and we go to the pharmacy to get it filled only to have to wait some more! Chris and I have been up since 5am and its now after 5pm! Then just when we thought things couldn't possibly get any worse the babysitter texts us and says she's leaving to go home to North Carolina Friday and doesn't know when she'll be returning! The only explanation we get is that "they have stuff they have to take care of." Now we're really in trouble bc we don't have a backup babysitter and we don't know anyone else! Thankfully my boss was understanding and was willing to give me the week off to get things together. After a few tears and a whole lot of anger Chris and I put our heads together and decided to see if Chris's grandma would be willing to come stay awhile. She agreed so now it was time to start searching for daycare.
<strong></strong>
<strong>Tuesday</strong>-I called a daycare that we had looked at while ago when I was still pregnant and they had some openings so I decided to do a walk through again. Things change when you actually have the baby. I asked a lot of questions when we were there the first time, but there are only so many things you can think to ask when you don't actually have a child yet. So Rylee and I took a "guided" tour and needless to say I left in tears!! The 2 workers looked like security guards rather than caregivers. Neither of them smiled the entire time i was there nor did they even say Hi. There were about 5 "babies" in there. Two of them were laying on the floor playing w toys while the one lady just stood over top of them w her hands behind her back like she was "guarding" them. Never once did they laugh or talk to the kids. So I asked if they ever just got down w the babies and played and interacted. The girl giving me the tour said yes and tried to come up w excuses as to why they weren't doing that, but eventually just gave up and said I was right that there was no reason why they shouldn't be down there that very minute. Then she told me that since they are licensed by the state they're not allowed to put Rylee to sleep on her belly. And then she starts telling me that they will only give Rylee "certain" solids, bc some of them list water as their main ingredient and since they're USDA certified they're not allowed to serve those. Needless to say I thanked them for their time and left. As soon as i got to my vehicle I burst into tears! I just felt overwhelmed and have never felt so alone in trying to find someone who would care for Rylee the way we wanted her to be cared for. I spent the rest of the day calling sitters/daycares only to find out I was running into a roadblock. . . if they were state licensed then they were all going to have the same rules.
<strong>Wednesday</strong>-I eventually remembered a girl from back home that lived here in Norfolk, so i asked her for some ideas on sitters. Thats when she gave me the name of her sitter Brandi. So I called her up and asked her some questions and set up a time to meet w her on Friday. I was already feeling relief after having just talked w her. Finally everything felt like it was all going to work out. Then I started to remember "Of course it was all going to work out. . . God was in control." What a relief that feeling was. If only I had remembered that in the beginning!
<strong>Thursday</strong>-We had such a nice day. I felt confident about the babysitter we had found so now I could relax and enjoy my time off w Rylee. So Rylee and I left early and ran a ton of errands. She was so good! We were gone for 4 hours and she was wonderful the entire time. She was so cute in Wal-Mart. I let her ride in the shopping cart like a big girl and she loved it. She just squealed and giggled the entire time we were in there. She also started her "fake" cough! Which drew alot of attention. . . I could feel people looking at me like "Oh no this kid has the swine flu!!" hahahaha. Even worse was that I couldn't stop laughing when she would cough!!
<strong>Friday</strong>-Didn't start off as well as Thursday. Chris had another appt. that morning to finish up his physical for the ship. He called and says he has bad news. . . the Nurse Practitioner he had just seen wouldn't clear him to go back to the ship. So that meant he was in limbo. . . his time was up on limited duty so it was time for him to either go back to the ship or they would discharge him from the Navy. My heart sank! I just thought "Oh no! I don't know how much more I can take this week!" So they called the Medical Officer on the ship and he said he wouldn't accept him on the ship either. Now we were really in trouble! The reason she wouldn't clear him was bc the surgeon had waived him from having to do the PRT (physical readiness test). The test consists of running a mile and a half in a certain amount of time, so many push ups/sit ups in a certain amount of time. So now he has to go back to the surgeon and see if he will clear him to do the PRT. If he does then as long as he passes the PRT everything will be ok. If not then we'll be seeing everyone soon!!!
So after all that lovely news Rylee and I went to meet the sitter. She was wonderful, but of course the way my week has gone nothing is going to go smoothly. . . Rylee decided she was going to have a case of stranger anxiety. She wouldn't let Brandi near her. She screamed and cried everytime. This was not the way things were supposed to go! How could I go to work knowing that she was crying and not happy! So we set up a time to meet again hoping that the more time Rylee spent around her the better. So we're supposed to meet Sunday.
We couldn't stay down for long though. At least not with this little girl around. She's so funny! She's growing up so fast and is always doing something that makes us laugh!
<p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388726115745382082" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiZ2gDfvsI/AAAAAAAAAQA/ZgNBo6jqto0/s400/100_0729.JPG" />This was so funny! She's playing w his tail. The look he's giving her is the funniest thing ever. . .kinda like "What are you doing to me?"</p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388726109815463138" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiZ2J9sXOI/AAAAAAAAAP4/w0NNALFkyV4/s400/100_0728.JPG" />You can acutally see her w a handful of his tail! Poor Rocky. . . he's so mistreated </p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 314px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388726088896407314" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiZ08CM5xI/AAAAAAAAAPo/IxmHiCpb7n4/s400/100_0759.JPG" />When I laid her down she was in the middle of the floor facing the opposite direction from what she is in the picture! She slithers herself around and all over the place! Obviously you can see what's about to happen in this picture. Poor Rocky was just trying to take a nap. He had no idea what was coming! <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388726100250127346" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiZ1mVI6_I/AAAAAAAAAPw/wXXwgfGQIGU/s400/100_0760.JPG" /> Finally after making sure he was asleep she went in for the attack!</p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388726082417860530" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiZ0j5mH7I/AAAAAAAAAPg/uxjJEb7fE9g/s400/100_0736.JPG" />Once again here she is picking on Rocky! She just thinks he's so funny! And the louder he is (barking, growling) the louder she laughs! </p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388724479995306786" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiYXSaSYyI/AAAAAAAAAPY/ScLgS4nns4E/s400/100_0762.JPG" />She's been holding her bottle for awhile now even when we hold her. So I thought i'd lay her down and give her her bottle and just see how she did. She had no problem. As long as she stayed focused and didn't get to engrossed in the TV. Which you can see in the picutre that she's looking to the side. That's bc she's watching the TV! </p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388724447329502466" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiYVYuJxQI/AAAAAAAAAPA/Q4IJmTe6IyU/s400/100_0726.JPG" />Rylee decided she didn't need help eating anymore! I did not give her the spoon! I'm still not sure how she managed to get it away from me? But she's looking at it like "I've seen mommy use this, now how did she do that. . . " <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388724461393530098" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiYWNHRzPI/AAAAAAAAAPI/LfTtc99jPfs/s400/100_0727.JPG" /> "Oh I know. . . ." </p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388724436855550994" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SsiYUxs99BI/AAAAAAAAAO4/ucuRVEsDE2M/s400/100_0707.JPG" />This was actually taken last weekend, but I just now found it on the camera. It was a cute picture so I thought i'd post it.

Chris got his orders on Friday. We're staying in Norfolk. He got orders to the USS Enterprise. Which is where the movie Top Gun was filmed. But the wait to see where he'd go was almost tortorous! Not being able to say where we'd be a week from now was starting to take its toll on us. The Enterprise was exactly where we wanted him to end up. We knew a little more about that ships schedule than any of the others.
<div></div>
Chris being on a ship is going to be so different. We've been married 2 years and he was only on a ship for a few months. I've definitely been a spoiled military wife. Having him come home every night, eat dinner together, go to bed together and wake up together is not at all the norm for a military family. So it's going to be a big change for all of us. For now we're just going to relax and enjoy our weekend.
<div>
Here are some pics from the last week or so. . <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386145324121432130" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9uoqDjoEI/AAAAAAAAAOo/YRkJF4w5dvU/s400/100_0663.JPG" /></div><div>Kisses for Daddy! This has to be the most adorable picture ever! She was leaning down to give kisses to her daddy! Chris is saying "awww" as she was doing it. That's why he looks so funny here. Definitely my favorite picture!</div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386135017069585570" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9lQtS5pKI/AAAAAAAAAOg/tu3TE5PY6y8/s400/100_0681.JPG" /></div><div>She loves to sit up like a big girl. You can sit her down and turn Mickey Mouse on and put some toys in front of her and she'll sit like this for hours! Once in a while I'll sit her down and leave the room and when I look back in on her she's fallen over and is laying on her back. But you'd never know anything ever happened bc she just falls over and resumes playing like nothing ever happened.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386119672162761618" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9XThEBO5I/AAAAAAAAAOY/gymXTTwRKGw/s400/100_0688.JPG" /></div><div>I was obviously oblivious to the fact that my picture was being taken! Rylee on the other hand was all smiles! I think I was engrossed in Storm Stories. They were telling a story of a 2 families that were neighbors in Greensburg, KY. There was a tornado headed straight for them. The one family was a mom, dad, and a 9mo little boy. The family next door was a dad and his daughter. It was kinda intense bc the mom and little boy were home alone. The dad was a truck driver and was on the road. He happened to be on his way home so it was flipping back and forth between the dad trying to get home and the mom trying to decide where they should go because they didn't have a basement. Long story short. . . both sets of neighbors made it out alive and well. The tornado did hit and wiped out the entire neighborhood.</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386119661825374226" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9XS6jZOBI/AAAAAAAAAOI/VmBv-lA65yM/s400/100_0666.JPG" />Who would've thought someone sucking their thumb could be so cute! She just started doing this over the last couple of weeks. She kind of sucked her thumb as a newborn, but this is taking thumbsucking to a whole new level! Although, she really only does it when she's tired or hungry.
<div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386119647692774674" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9XSF563RI/AAAAAAAAAN4/rGuiWoL4nw0/s400/100_0660.JPG" /> She's just kinda giving me this look like "what are you doing now?"</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 401px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386117706701896482" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9VhHJoeyI/AAAAAAAAANw/lZhLoENoAHw/s400/100_0659.JPG" />I could never watch TV this way. It would kill my neck. But this is how she watches TV if she's not sitting up. I betcha can't guess what she's watching???? MICKEY MOUSE!!!!
<div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386116759326763682" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9Up95zKqI/AAAAAAAAANo/yunQY-yybMY/s400/100_0650.JPG" />She just got done eating (as you can see all over her face) when Rocky walked past. Although he wasn't paying a bit of attention to her she obvioulsy thought he was amusing!
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 327px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386115320838192962" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9TWPHZf0I/AAAAAAAAANg/2_-05bms-ks/s400/100_0643.JPG" /></div><div><div><div><div><div><div>This was after church last Sunday. We came in and I sat her down so I could get changed and when I came back in she was talking to Rocky who was laying on the couch. We have no idea what it is about him, but she is so amused by him. Most of the time he's not even paying any attention to her. He's usually trying to get my attention so I'll pet him. Even when he eats she just stares at him like he's the most interesting thing she's ever seen.
<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386111457032700050" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sr9P1VUYgJI/AAAAAAAAANY/mXZAU_xTf0s/s400/100_0630.JPG" />Ok, so we bought this jumperoo like 2 or 3 months ago and couldn't wait to put her in it. We just knew she was going to love it. But she had her own opinion. . . she hated it! She cried everytime we put her in it. Plus she wasn't quite long enough to touch the ground. So we kinda set it aside for awhile and just recently decided to give it another try. She loves it! She bounces and giggles and looks at us like she's wondering where the heck this toy has been all her life.

<p align="right">Last weekend we decided to have a "family day" and just find something to do as a family and just get out of the house for awhile. So we decided to pay a visit to the Virginia Beach Aquarium. Rylee of course wasn't all that interested, but then again neither were Chris and I. We were both very disappointed. They didn't have hardly anything in their exhibits. Everything had signs saying "under construction" or "waiting on new residents". So we spent most of our time in the bird sanctuary. </p><p align="right">Overall though it was a very relaxing weekend. Chris went golfing that Saturday and Rylee chilled at home. She took a 4 hour nap and I actually had to find something to do!! So I read for awhile, watched a little tv, and played on the computer. I think this was the first time in a long time (5mo probably) that I actually said I didn't have anything to do!</p><p align="center">It seemed that the excitement of the weekend continued through the week. . . Rylee started rolling over nonstop!! She rolled over the first time at 11 weeks. We had put her to sleep on her belly and found her on her back. Then a week or so later she rolled over again, but I was the only one around. That was the day before I went back to work for the first time in 3 mo. I had been so upset about starting back to work and missing out on all her milestones. I truly believe that God used that opportunity to reassure me and give me peace of mind. He knew how truly worried I was. After that day it was another 3 months before she would roll over again! Chris still hadn't seen her roll over until just the other day. She rolled over for the babysitter one day this week, so we brought her home and instantly put her on her belly in hopes she'd excite us w a roll! We weren't disappointed! Chris can now say he's seen her roll over. Now she doesn't stop rolling. Now we're done w the rolling and ready for her to start crawling!</p>

This was the first and last time he got to see Rylee.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>I have so many wonderful memories of my grandpa. . . I remember getting up w him on Saturday mornings to go to Hardees. Every Saturday morning he used to go to Hardees for breakfast and coffee w all the other old men. I would always tag along and he would buy me a cinnamon roll. I also remember frequent trips to the Dairy Queen for ice cream. All I had to do was say the words and off we went on another ice cream trip. Although every now and then I had to beg a little harder. . . hahaha! I can still hear him saying "Ah Les" when i would beg and beg. But of course he always gave in. I remember playing catch in the frontyard w him. There was a time when I lived w him and my grandma. During that time he would always drive me to school and be there when school let out to pick me up. I have so many fun memories of him. These were just a few of my favorite. I definitely owe him and my grandma alot. They are wonderful grandparents and have always been there for me when I needed them. And now as an adult w my own family I really look up to them. They were married for 61 years!! I still turn to my grandma at times for "marriage advice". Although she usually just laughs at me! Who better to give out advice than someone who has been married to the same person for 61 years.</div>
<div>Rylee is now 5mo!! I can't believe how time flies. She is definitely developing into her own little person already! She has already started solids and is now onto the 2nd stage of solids. Now this little girl knows how to eat! And don't think for one minute that she's cut back on her bottle. She eats just as much as she always has and now has added even more to her menu! She is sitting up w very little support and can even sit up unsupported for a couple of minutes. She's changing so much I just can't believe it. She no longers takes a bath in her "baby tub". We used to sit her tub in our bathtub and bathe her that way. Well about a month ago she decided she was too big for that tub bc it forced her to lay back. So now she bathes in the sink where she can sit up. Last night while I was bathing her she discovered the knob that turns the water on and off. She was so fascinated by this. It eventually made her mad though bc she couldn't figure out why it wasn't doing anything when she grabbed it. It didn't move, play music, or light up like all her other toys. So then she had a little fit. She balled up her hands into a fist and was smacking the water. Which in turn splashed out EVERYWHERE including all over me! She even knows her bottle now when she sees it. She got mad at me the other day bc it was time for her to eat and she was already fussin a bit so I went and made her bottle and when i walked in w it she stopped and her eyes got real big. Well i had to sit it down so that i could pick her up. Oh my goodness this made her so mad bc she saw me walk in w the bottle and then when i went to get her it was no longer in my hands!! She has developed quite a temper and is not afraid to show it!</div>

<div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>So, we've recently discovered that Rylee reaches for everything with her left hand! I thought it was too early to tell whether she'd be right or left handed, but Chris and I are pretty sure she's going to be left handed. </div>
<div>This weekend started off kinda crazy bc Chris and I found a house online that we fell in love with and it just so happened the price was right. This was definitely our dream house. . . completely secluded way out in the country with a little pond. Big beautiful wide open kitchen! So as we started looking into we found out that it wasn't completely finished and was now bank owned. So that led to the type of loan that we could get. There were two types of loans we were looking into that allowed you to put down less money. Well turns out those two loans have VERY strict guidelines and wouldn't approve a house that wasn't all the way finished. So then it was a scramble to figure out what the next step would be if any at all. Plus to add to the chaos we found out that someone had already made an offer on our "dream home" and it had been accepted, but they were willing to take the "best offer". So our realtor got the key and we rounded up our "favorite carpenter (Chris's stepdad)" and asked him to take a look and see what he thought. All of this was rush, rush, rush because there had already been an offer made and also bc there were still other people wanting to look at the property. Well after all that we decided to turn it down. Turns out it wasn't as kid friendly as we would've liked it to be. It had a pond on one side and the river on the other. Along with lots of rocks and hardly any flat land. So it's back to the drawing board. Although we're not in any huge hurry since Chris doesn't get out till 2011. So we'll wait and pray and see what God has in store for us. The one thing i'm not good at is waiting!!

<strong></strong></div><p><strong></strong> </p><p>Wow! It's been a long time since i've posted anything and so much has happened in that time. Rylee is now 4 months old and growing faster than Chris or I ever imagined!! She's the size of a 6 month old. . . weighing in at 17lbs 26in long. She holds her head up all on her own now and is so close to sitting up. She hates anything that makes her feel as if she's lying down. In fact she even gave up her bouncy seat! Trust me that was a huge deal! We didn't think she was ever going to get tired of that thing even though she was way too big for it. Her butt dragged the ground when she was in it, but she didn't seem to care. We even went and bought her a new one that was more her size and should follow her till she's a toddler, but she hated it! The one we bought wasn't as entertaining. It didn't light up and play music continiously so she didn't want anything to do with it. So for a month or more it just sat here. Then about 2 weeks before she turned 4mo she decided she wanted to sit up. So anytime you buckled her into her carseat you could see her straining to lift herself up. Same w her bouncy seat. The old one kept her in a reclining position and she wasn't having any of that. She even enjoys sitting in her highchair watching me clean the kitchen. About the same time she started tryin to sit up her sleeping habits changed. She was napping after every bottle so she was taking 2 naps in the am and 2 in the pm and then sleeping 8 hours through the night. But now she almost refuses to take a nap during the day! She also started eating off a spoon for the first time. And let me tell you you better watch your hand if you're the one feeding her bc she's like a pirhana when she sees that spoon coming towards her! She's at such a fun stage right now. Chris and I are having a blast w her. She talks more than ever and laughs and squeals when you talk to her. She's starting to get to that point where you can actually play w her. </p><p>It's been a busy couple of months here. I started back to work in July, so Rylee has been going to a sitter's M-F while Chris and I are at work. The days just fly by. They start around 5am when Chris and I get up to start the process of getting ready for work and end when we go to bed around 8 or 9 that night. I really enjoy being back at work. I didn't think I would, but once I started I realized how much I missed interacting w other adults. Rylee does great at the sitters and the sitter is great w her so it makes it easier to leave her and go to work. About the same time we started leaving her at the sitters we started feeling better about taking her to the nursery at church and dropping her off while we attended the service. They do a good job w her too. And of course she loves it bc someone holds her nonstop while she's there!</p><p> </p><p align="left"><strong> </p><div align="center">

<div>Not much has been going on with us these past couple weeks so I've not had a whole to write about. The only thing new would be Rylee eating her first foods. She started eating a combo of cereal, fruit, and formula. Let me tell you she loves her fruit!! She gulped it down in record time. Other than that I'm just counting down the days till I have to go back to work and trying to treasure what little time I have left with her.</div>
<div>Well, not a whole to talk about so I'll leave you with some cute pictures.</div>

We had a great time visiting and spending time with everybody. Rylee did really good on the ride there. It was a 17 hour drive!!!!! It was a crazy 10 days, but we loved every minute of it and hated to leave everybody. While we were there Rylee started sleeping through night!!!!!!!!!! It was kinda scary though the first time she did it. She went to bed around 9:30 that night and didn't wake up till 4:30 that morning! When she first woke up I had no idea what time it was, but had woke Chris up with the promise that if he got up with her this time I'd get up with her for her 4 o'clock bottle (she usually eats every 4 hours). Chris got up with her but she was extremely fussy and wouldn't settle down. I could hear her screaming so I got up to see what was going on only to realize it was 4 in the morning and that nothing was wrong with her she was just EXTREMELY hungry and getting more impatient by the minute as Chris and I tried to figure out why she was screaming. . . hahaha! <div></div><div></div><div>While it might've been a crazy 10 days it was alot of fun and also kind of bittersweet. I've always missed being back in Indiana with our family and friends but never as much as what I do now that I've had Rylee. I didn't just hate to leave it actually broke my heart. I hated taking Rylee away from family that cares so much about her but rarely gets to see her. Thankfully we'll be back in just 2 short years and in between then we'll be back as much as we possibly can for visits. But for those of you who are close to home or close to family don't take any day you have with them for granted!

It was so cute!
So on our way back from Indiana we stopped at Hardees so Chris and I could grab a bite to eat and also so Rylee could take her bottle. So we go through the drive thru and then pull around and park in the parking lot. Since Chris was driving he was going to eat while I fed Rylee. I get Rylee out of her carseat and bring her around to the front so I can sit and feed her. She's just started eating when Chris pulls out his cheeseburger and starts eating. Oh my gosh I have never seen someone turn their head so fast. . . Rylee must've smelled daddy's cheeseburger and thought that would be better than her bottle because she did a complete 180 in my arms all the while keeping the bottle in her mouth!!! She just stared at him the entire time he was eating that cheeseburger. I couldn't get her to take her eyes away from him and that sandwich! So then to be mean Chris waves the sandwich in front of her face. . . hahaha! I'm pretty sure Chris and I neither one have ever laughed so hard in our lives. If I could've taken a picture of her watching him with that sandwich I swear we could've won some award or something it was just so darn cute!!Leslie, Chris, and Ryleehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14574599213929256490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1253150692028051347.post-6857553633345385532009-05-21T00:32:00.000-04:002009-05-21T00:49:42.158-04:00Mini MilestonesI can not believe I'm still up at 12:30 at night!!! Rylee took a 5 hour nap from 6-11 so she has decided she's not tired now even though I'm exhausted bc she woke up at 5am and decided to stay up!! Although I can't complain to much because she was absolutely adorable. . . she just talked up a storm!!
Ok so it's late and i'm rambling and not getting to the whole point of why I'm on here this late. Yesterday Rylee was on her belly on a blanket on the living room floor. I was in the kitchen (most likely washing bottles. . . story of my life) when Chris yelled at me to come to the living room. There was my little sumo wrestler doing push ups!! She had pushed her chest up off the floor using her arms!! It was so cute! I think she was proud of herself too because she had a big smile on her face as she was doing it. So of course when I looked at the "milestone chart" that I get in my weekly baby emails it says that if she's able to do that already she's "advanced"!!! Yay!! I foresee a Harvard graduate. . .
She is just changing so much and so fast! I didn't think she was supposed to be changing quite this fast. She's only 6 weeks and I found myself going through her clothes the other day and actually putting the clothes that didn't fit anymore in a tote! Okay now I know that this is happening way too fast! Not only that but daddy had to adjust her car seat straps AGAIN!! This time though we had to actually take the straps out of the bottom slots and lace them through the top ones. I knew it was time for this when I tried to put her in there the other day and was actually having to push her down in the seat to be able to get the straps over her shoulders!!
Ok, well I think my little monster has finally passed out so I'm headed to do the same. GOODNIGHT!Leslie, Chris, and Ryleehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14574599213929256490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1253150692028051347.post-31233014132017125782009-05-17T14:46:00.000-04:002009-05-17T16:00:40.081-04:00Busy Weekend<div><div><div>

If you look at her left hand she's got her finger pointed and it looks like she was giving somebody a stern talking to!! hahaha
<div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/ShBd7k8o4pI/AAAAAAAAAFw/P0KI9WT_ITs/s1600-h/100_0362.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336868836545716882" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/ShBd7k8o4pI/AAAAAAAAAFw/P0KI9WT_ITs/s400/100_0362.JPG" border="0" /></a> This was what she wore to her first ever church outing. She looked absolutely adorable.
<div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/ShBd7fBBpKI/AAAAAAAAAFo/mNdw3fDCoQQ/s1600-h/100_0360.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336868834953503906" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/ShBd7fBBpKI/AAAAAAAAAFo/mNdw3fDCoQQ/s400/100_0360.JPG" border="0" /></a> This is just a random picture I took. Sometimes she just acts so happy and is talking up a storm that I can't help but try to capture the moment.
<div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/ShBd7Dwkj1I/AAAAAAAAAFg/4WDUnFCuySs/s1600-h/100_0356.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336868827636731730" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/ShBd7Dwkj1I/AAAAAAAAAFg/4WDUnFCuySs/s400/100_0356.JPG" border="0" /></a> This of course was another one of those moments. She just looked so peaceful I couldn't help myself.

<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>This weekend was Rylee's first cookout/get together. Some old friends of ours from Chris's old ship invited us over for a cookout Saturday night. It was alot of fun. We saw a few people that we haven't seen since Chris left the ship almost two years ago. It was nice to catch up and see what has happened in everyone's lives since we last saw them. One of the guys is now married with an adorable 9 month old little boy who kept everyone entertained throughout the evening. The couple that was hosting the cookout are old friends of ours that actually used to live in the same apartments as we do now. They made the decision to move out just shortly before Lloyd shipped out for a 6 month deployment. His wife Brooke moved home to North Carolina while he was gone. Upon his return they moved into a new apartment at a different location.</div>
<div>Sunday we made our first trip to church as a family. It was so nice to be back in church again. I've definitely missed the "connection" to the Lord I feel when there. I was so miserable throughout my pregnancy that I just didn't feel like going anywhere or doing anything. Then with the arrival of Rylee brought about many sleepless nights and I just didn't have the energy. Now that we're adjusting and she's sleeping a little better I felt this was as good a time as any to make our first trip to church. Rylee stayed in the sanctuary with us through the service. Daddy was too nervous to let her stay in the nursery with "strangers"(hahaha). It was kind of weird because the preachers son and daughter-in-law had just had a baby no to long ago and were there for a dedication service. It was super sweet. They showed a little slide show of pictures of the baby while the family was all gathering on the stage. Of course it brought back precious memories for me of Rylee's birth and just gave me a minute to reflect on the weeks since then and just how happy I am to have such a beautiful little girl. She definitely filled a void in our lives that we never knew we had till she came along. And yes you guessed it. . . I cried like a big baby. I'm sure the people around me were wondering what the heck I was crying about. But hey I wasn't the only one crying. . . the proud grandpa (our preacher) was crying too (hahaha)!! Goodness the way I was acting you would've thought I was part of their family or something!!!</div>
<div>So all this brings up another topic that's really weighing on our little family at the moment. Since Chris has been off the ship due to his shoulder problems he has been on limited duty. Well to keep it simple (because nothing with the Navy is ever simple) the Navy only allows you to be on limited duty for so long. Well Chris has EXCEEDED his limit so now some "big wigs" in Washington are in the process of deciding his fate with the Navy and in turn mine and Rylee's fate as well because wherever he goes we go. A couple of things can happen now. . . "they" can decide to find him fit for full duty or they can decide to separate/discharge him. If they find him fit for full duty he will be picking orders to a new ship. This could mean a number of things. . .if he's able to get on a ship here then this is where'd we'd stay. If not here then we'll be relocated to wherever his new ship would be. This also means that he could be "deployed" really really soon depending on the ship he gets on schedule. If he is separated or discharged then we would be moving home!!! YAY!! Well kinda YAY. . . we would be moving to a place where we have no home (at least not one of our own) and no jobs in an economy that's not real job friendly at the moment. He should be finding out what they decided any day now. In the mean time we're also waiting to hear if he made 2nd class. Which won't really matter if he did or not if he gets separated. . . kinda weird timing. Anyway, please pray for us! We know God has a plan for our family and that no matter what that is or where it takes us He'll make sure we're taken care of. But we want so bad to be home where Rylee can grow up around family and in the same small town atmosphere we did. Not this big city where kids get shot while riding their bicycles and schools lock down on a weekly basis due to drug busts or gun threats!!!</div>
<div>On a more positive note. . . I'm testing my baking skills today. I am going to attempt to make a milky way cake. This is huge for me because I've never made anything from scratch in my life. If it doesn't come in a box I don't make it! Be sure to tune in later to see how it turned out!</div>

A.K.A: Our little Sumo Wrestler<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLt60TBVI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/bEY48UBeTfc/s1600-h/100_0355.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334315535898445138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLt60TBVI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/bEY48UBeTfc/s400/100_0355.JPG" border="0" /></a> Rocky couldn't stand not to be a part of this!! He's slightly jealous.

We discovered that the other day when we took this one off and it left little indentions in her head!! </div><div> </div><div>I'm such a bad mommy. . . make her wear headbands that are too small. . .let formula drain down the side of her face to where it dries in the side of her neck rolls!!!
<div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLtZKhoYI/AAAAAAAAAFA/wnZKnMGBXt0/s1600-h/100_0351.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334315526864871810" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLtZKhoYI/AAAAAAAAAFA/wnZKnMGBXt0/s400/100_0351.JPG" border="0" /></a> See what I mean. . . you can actually kinda see her little fat ringlets in this pic!
<div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLtGrNF9I/AAAAAAAAAE4/bKeYbHhHcso/s1600-h/100_0349.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334315521901664210" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLtGrNF9I/AAAAAAAAAE4/bKeYbHhHcso/s400/100_0349.JPG" border="0" /></a>We were sitting outside on the patio watching the storm roll in. Rylee got tired of waiting on it to get here.
<div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLswMfIeI/AAAAAAAAAEw/XqWfVMHwLq4/s1600-h/100_0341.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334315515867242978" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/SgdLswMfIeI/AAAAAAAAAEw/XqWfVMHwLq4/s400/100_0341.JPG" border="0" /></a> She loves her swing! When all else fails she'll sleep in her swing!</div><div>
<div> So here's what's been happening since my last post. . .</div><div> </div><div>Rylee has a nickname now. . . "Our little Sumo Wrestler." You're probably wondering how she got that nickname right?? Well here's how. . . </div>
<div> A few weeks ago I'm in our bedroom taking a much needed nap when Chris comes rushing in with Rylee in his arms saying "She's got something wrong with her neck!!" I'm slightly panicking, but trying to keep my cool until I figure out what he's talking about. So he puts her in my arms and points out this "area" on her neck. Oh my gosh it was a raw area where her skin had broke down!! So now you're probably wondering how the heck something like that happens and you're probably thinking that only happens when babies get diaper rash right? Well not when you have a miniature sumo wrestler for a newborn!!!! Not only was this area on her neck red and raw it had all kinds of gunk stuck to it. Turns out all this was from where her formula runs out of her mouth down the side of her face and down her neck (guess thats what they make bibs and burp clothes for huh!). Who knows how long it had been like this. Since she's got so many fat ringlets (hence the nickname Sumo Wrestler) you couldn't see it unless she turned her head and stretched her neck out. Now I swear i bathe my child, but once again she's got so many little fat ringlets that it's hard to get in between all of them.</div><div> </div><div> Rylee turned 1 month this past Thursday! It's amazing how fast it goes! She's growing more and more everyday. Just this week we had to adjust her car seat straps. We were getting ready to leave and I put her in it but couldn't get her arms through the straps they were so tight (this could be because she eats like a sumo wrestler. . . hahaha). She's taking 5 oz every 3 hours now. Sometimes she'd eat sooner than that if we'd let her. It was kind of a sentimental moment for mommy knowing that my little baby is growing so fast. I've noticed alot of other changes that have come with her turning 1 month. She's awake for longer stretches through the day. I wish I could say that while she's awake longer through the day that she's sleeping for longer stretches through the night, but unfortunately that's not the case!! </div><div> </div><div> She also smiles alot more when you talk to her. Yesterday she was laying on the floor on a blanket sucking on her pacifier and I was sitting at the computer when she kept spitting her pacifier out and fussing because she'd spit it out. She was spitting it out about every 5-10 minutes and I'd turn around and put it back in. After doing this SEVERAL times I started talking to her and was telling her in a silly "baby talk" voice that I'd about had enough of this. It was perfect timing because right as I said that she looked at me and smiled the biggest smile I've ever seen. Like she was telling me she could really care less if I'd had enough or not! </div><div> </div><div> With Mother's Day being this weekend Chris surprised me by asking me if I wanted to go to the Olive Garden Friday evening for the other half of my Mother's Day present. This was another pacifier moment. . . I held Rylee's pacifier in her mouth with one hand and ate with the other! I also had big plans for us for the weekend. More than anything else I wanted to go to church Sunday especially since it was Mother's Day and this would've been our first trip to church as a family. What a better time than Mother's Day for a first church outing. Well, little did I know that the boss of the family had other plans in store for us. For some reason Rylee decided she did not want to go to sleep last night. It took 4 hours of trips back and forth from her room back to ours before she decided to go to sleep!!! I tried everything. . . changed her, fed her, held her, rocked her, talked to her, rubbed on her all to no avail. She was not having anything to do with going to sleep. She didn't want to eat either. She just wanted to snack all night which led to her waking up every hour wanting to eat!!! Needless to say we didn't make it to church. I guess there's always another Sunday.</div><div> </div><div> This weekend was also a weekend of more "firsts." Since giving birth to this mini sumo wrestler I can't fit into any of my clothes. I literally have nothing but tshirts and maternity clothes that fit. So I decided to treat myself to an afternoon out doing a little shopping. So this was my first outing without Rylee and it was Rylee's first time home alone with just her daddy. I don't think I've ever dreaded shopping as much as I did this time. Probably for more than one reason. One being when I tried on my first pair of pants and discovered I've gone up 2 pant sizes!! Two being I missed my little girl and felt kinda guilty for wanting to get away for awhile. I don't think she missed me near as much as I missed her.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div></div></div></div></div>Leslie, Chris, and Ryleehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14574599213929256490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1253150692028051347.post-57050433318497403762009-05-03T18:07:00.000-04:002009-05-03T20:00:33.100-04:00Random Thoughts. . .<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sf4jAqFEZMI/AAAAAAAAAEo/O8uc1qgdKJw/s1600-h/100_0338.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331737503055766722" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jZgR4vZ0qHU/Sf4jAqFEZMI/AAAAAAAAAEo/O8uc1qgdKJw/s400/100_0338.JPG" border="0" /></a> It's been a few days since I've posted anything so I finally found the energy and the time to post a few pics and a few random thoughts.
It's been an exhausting week and I've never been so grateful for the weekend to get here. Rylee chose not to sleep three nights in a row and had me so exhausted I couldn't function. Thankfully the weekend got here and Chris was able to take over. I slept till 11am on Saturday and then 10am on Sunday. I definitely got some much needed rest. It was so nice to hear the words "I got it go back to sleep."
So Rylee has switched beds again. She started out sleeping in her bassinet and within just a couple of weeks had outgrown it so we moved the pack n play into the bedroom and she slept in there for a few nights. It didn't last long though and she wasn't happy sleeping there either so reluctantly we moved her to her crib. I think she was more ready for this transition than I was. I just couldn't imagine her being so far away at night, but I was willing to do whatever would get me the most sleep. So the first night with her in her crib was a sleepless night for me. I kept waking up every so often thinking she wasn't crying or fussing so I would get out of bed and go check on her. By the time I got back to sleep it was time for her to eat and she was actually fussing. Needless to say after the first night her and I both slept much better.

Now that we're home and settled in we finally decided on a date. We're planning on coming home May 21st-June 1st and I'm counting down the days! I just keep thinking coming home equals rest for an exhausted mommy because Rylee will have more than enough people willing to keep her for a few hours so mommy can catch up on some much needed sleep. I'm excited too for all the family and friends that haven't seen her yet. Oh and of course the best part of it all is I GET A MASSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris told me the other day that my mother's day present is a gift certificate for a massage when we come home. Wow. . . i couldn't ask for a better vacation. . . sleep and a massage all in one week!!! INDIANA HERE I COME!!!! :)

I don't remember where we were going. I just happened to come across this picture in Chris's phone and thought it was adorable.

She loves to lay on the couch all bundled up in her swaddle.
